Meet Sauti Moja Trustees and Staff!

Collectively, Sauti Moja has over 60 years of field experience in 26 countries.  This extensive history and experience mean more effective programs for the communities we serve!

Board of Trustees:

Chairperson:
Ernie Fuller. MD, FRCS(Can)..
Dr. Fuller is the brother of the late Lillian Wright, and a physician with a life long interest in international development and "missionary medicine".  Although his international focus and experience has been in using and transferring his surgical skills to national hospital staff through short and long term stays in six countries, he has also served on the Boards of three organizations doing development.  As current Chairperson of Sauti Moja, he now enjoys expanded opportunity and experiences (beyond medical) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged pastoralists in East Africa.

Treasurer:
Joanne Allgoewer.  MA Economics, International Community Development Certificate.
Joanne's diverse about_back includes working as a Policy Analyst with the Canadian Department of Finance & Treasury Board Secretariat and heading up her own company, allgorithms inc., a distributor of computer training products to the non-profit sector.  Joanne is a relative newcomer to International Development but has established strong relationships with the Maasai community in Longido, Tanzania, during three 3-month visits there, working as a volunteer in various capacities.

Larry has over 12 years experience in university research and teaching in both agriculture and international development.  He also has over 22 years experience in relief and development in Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Somalia and Nepal.  Most of Larry's international focus has been on program management, food security, sustainable livelihoods, agricultural research and more broadly focused community development in Sub-Saharan Africa.  He has extensive experience with the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania.

Cheri Wright Kaguah. MSW, Certificate Adult Education, B.A.(Anthropology/Geography).
Cheri decided at the age of 16 that she wanted to be a community development worker in sub-Saharan Africa, and that's just what she's been doing for much of her adult life.  When people ask her how she got into such a career, she explains that it's "the family business".  Daughter of Sauti Moja founder, Tim Wright, as well as the courageous and compassionate Lil Wright (in whose honor Sauti Moja was initiated), Cheri grew up with a heart for the people of Africa.  With years of community development experience including 7 years of living and working in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, and Botswana), she's thrilled to be able to support the work of Sauti Moja as a trustee.
